no they weren't a bunch of crooks..they tried to help Lencho for money..I would describe them as kind people with good heart..Lencho misunderstood them..

post office employees were not really a bunch of crooks as they gave money to lencho to keep his belief on God but lencho doesn't know that the money given to him is by post office employees not by God as he saw less money he described the post office employees as bunch of Crooks. he was right in his view but in real post office employees are not bunch of crooks ,instead they can be considered as a helping hand and kind hearted as they gave money to lencho.
