Answer:

the story a letter to god is written by GL Fuentus. It revolves around a poor farmer who is devastated at the scene of his ruined hard work represented by his crops. He has no other choice but to believe in god. his unshaken faith yields him great result.

Lencho is a poor farmer. In the wait of a good downpour he gets a hailstorm which destroys his crops and his hopes of a good harvest. his family fears starvation. But he has immense faith in god and keeps his hopes alive. He writes a letter to god asking help of 100 pesos. the postmaster touched by his faith decides to help him but falls short of 30 pesos. Lencho on getting the money doesn't show the slightest of astonishment due to his immense faith in god. but instead he labels them as crooks.

This shows that he had immense faith in god but lacked faith in humanity. but he was right in his position. no body with that amount of faith in god would ever suspect that postman had helped him.

Answer: Lencho had child-like faith in god. He couldn't even imagine that humans would help him, as from his childhood he might have realised that people only know how to harm others, they do not know how to help others. His mental influence was that he could not believe that humanity still exists today. He believed that God wouldn't make such a big mistake, so he would give him what he had asked for. He believed that the people at the post office were a bunch of crooks and had stolen 30 pesos.

He had written a letter to god, telling him about his problems and his need for 100 pesos. He gave the letter to the post office. The postmaster was astonished but later became serious about the matter. He respected Lencho's faith in god and decided to help him. He, with the help of others, managed to collect 70 pesos for Lencho and signed the letter by the name of god as he had firm faith in God and the postmaster thought that his belief should not be shaken. He didn't want to crush his child like-faith in god.
