• Length and breadth of a rectangular field are in the ratio 12:3.

• Area of Rectangular field is 8100 m²

• cost of fencing of rectangular field is 52.25/m

TO FIND :-

• Cost of fencing = ?

SOLUTION :-

Let, the ratio constant be x.

Therefore length and breadth are 12 x and 3x respectively.

=> Area of rectangular field = Length × breadth

=> 8100 = 12x × 3x

=> 8100 = 36x²

=> x² = 8100/36

$\implies \bf \: x \: = \sqrt{225}$

=> x = 15

Hence ,

Length = 12x = 12 × 15 = 180m

Breadth = 3x = 3 × 15 = 45m.

● Permeter of Rectangular field = 2 ( l+b )

= 2 ( 180m + 45m )

= 2 ( 225m )

= 450m

Hence ,perimeter of rectangular field is 450m.

● cost of fencing = perimeter × cost.

= Rs.52.25 × 450

= Rs.23512.5

Hence cost of fencing of rectangular field is Rs.23512.5.
