Solution

Given :-

  • Length of a rectangle is 3 cm more than twice its breadth.
  • Perimeter of rectangle is 78 cm .

To Find :-

  • The dimension of the rectangle.

Step-by-Step-Explaination :-

Let the breadth be x cm

Then, the length be ( 2x + 3 )

Now,

As we know that :-

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b )

Where,

  • L = x

  • B = 2x + 3

Putting the respective value,

78 = 2 ( x + 2x + 3 )

78 = 2x + 4x + 6

78 - 6 = 6x

6x = 72

x = 72/6

x = 12 cm

Hence,

Length = ( 2 × 12 + 3 ) = 27 cm

Breadth = 12 cm
