Now according to the question length of equal sides is 3/2 times its base which means, length of opposite sides is 3/2x.
also given that perimeter of the isosceles triangle is equals to 40 cm.
As we know that perimeter is the sum of all the three sides of any triangle, As
sides of this isosceles triangle are x cm, 3/2x cm and 3/2x cm.
so
x+3/2x+3/2x =40.
As we have to find the length of of equal sides of that triangle which is equals to 3/2x.
By putting x = 10 we can calculate the length of equal sides
