Given:

• length of the rectangular field is 2 times it's breadth

• perimeter of the field = 72cm

To Find:

length and breadth of the rectangular field

Solution:

☆ Let the breadth of the rectangular field be "x"

☆ then,the length will be 2x

We Know That:

\sf\underline\red{perimeter \:of\: rectangle = 2× ( length + breadth)}

According to Question:

⟹ 2 × (length + breadth) = 72cm

Putting the values,We get:

  \implies \tt \: 2(2x  + x) = 72cm

 \implies \tt \: 4x + 2x = 72cm

 \implies \tt \: 6x = 72cm

 \implies  \tt\: x =  \frac{72}{6} cm

 \implies \tt \: x  = 12cm

Therefore,

breadth of the field = 12cm

Now,

length of the field = 2x = 12 × 2

length of the field = 24cm

Hence,

length of the field = 24cm

breadth of the field = 12cm

Answer:

Length of a rectangular field is 2 times it's breadth

perimeter of the field=72cm

Let the breadth of the rectangular field be "x" cm

Then its length will be 2x

we know that,

The perimeter of a rectangle =2 ( length+breadth)

According to the question,

2 ( length+ breadth)= 72 cm

putting the value of expected values of length and breadth in there respective places.

2 (2x+x) = 72 cm

4x+2x =72 cm

6x=72cm

x =72/6

x =12 cm

Therefore,

Length of the field = 2x =2*12

=24cm....

Breadth of the field = x

=12 cm...
