we know that,
- Line from centre to the chord bisect the chord at right angle .
so, let radius of the circle is r cm .
then, by pythagoras theorem we get,
→ radius = √(Chord/2)² + (distance from centre)²
→ r = √(16/2)² + (6)²
→ r = √(8)² + (6)²
→ r = √(64 + 36)
→ r = √100
→ r = 10 cm (1) (Ans.)
