Length and breadth of a rectangle are 10cm and 5cm respectively. A triangle whose height is 15cm is attached to the rectangle at the top. Find the area of the combined shape ​

First find the area of rectangle : Length X Breadth

= (10 X 5) cm

= 50 cm

As, Triangle is attached over rectangle so it's base will be equal to length of rectangle.

So, Base of Triangle : 10 cm

Now, find the area of Triangle : 1/2 * base * height

= (1/2 * 10 * 15) cm

= 75 cm

Now, add area of both shapes as rectangle and triangle.

= Area of rectangle + Area of triangle

= 50 cm + 75 cm

= 125 cm
