Question :

Length and breadth of rectangle shaped

floor of a room are in 4:3 ratio. If its

perimeter is 50 m. then length of the

floor is =?

Answer :

Given ,

Let length of floor of room = 4x

Let breadth of floor of room = 3x

Total perimeter = 50m

Lenght of the floor = ?

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length+ breadth)

50m = 2(4x + 3x)

50 m = 2 * 7x

50m = 14x

50m/14 = x

3.5 m = x

Now ,

Length = 4x = 4× 3.5m = 14m

Breadth = 3x = 3 × 3.5m = 10.5 m
