Let the length and breadth of the rectangular piece be 5x and 2x.

Given total cost of fencing = 2500.

Given Rate of fencing = 12.5 per meter.

Perimeter of the field = 2500/12.5

                                    = 200.


We know that perimeter = 2(l + b)

2(5x + 2x) = 200

2(7x) = 200

14x = 200

x = 200/14

x = 14.28m.

Therefore the length = 5 * 14.28

                                    = 71.4m.


Therefore the breadth = 2 * 14.28

                                      = 28.56m.
