Length,breadth and height of a rectangular block are 8m 5 m and 3m respectively. Find volume and if the density is 1.2 kg/m³.Find the mass .​

  • Length of Block, L = 8 m
  • Breadth of Block, B = 5 m
  • Height of Block, H = 3 m
  • Density of Block, D = 1.2 kg/m³

To find :

  • Volume of Block, V =?
  • Mass of Block, M =?

Knowledge required :

  • Formula for volume of Cuboid

      V = L × B × H

  • Formula to calculate Density

     D = M / V

[ Where V is volume, L is length, B is Breadth, H is height, D is density and M is mass ]

Solution :

Calculating Volume of Block

→ V = L × B × H

→ V = 8 m × 5 m × 3 m

V = 120 m³

Calculating Mass of Block

→ D = M / V

→ 1.2 kg/m³  = M / ( 120 m³ )

→ M = 1.2  kg/m³  ×  120 m³

M = 144 kg

Therefore,

  • Mass of Block is 144 Kg.  ⋆
