we have to find out it's surface area
so,
Surface area of rectangular tank=2(lb+bh+hl)
2(25×20+20×10+10×25)
1900m²
cost=1900×3
=Rs.5700

The cost of painting its outer surface at rupees 3 per square metre is Rs.5700

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of tank = 25 m

Breadth of tank = 20 m

Height of tank = 10 m

Total surface area of tank = 2(lb+bh+hl)=2(25 \times 20 + 20 \times 10+10 \times 25)=1900 sq.m.

Cost of painting 1 sq.m. = Rs.3

Cost of painting 1900 sq.m. = 1900 \times 3 = Rs.5700

Hence the cost of painting its outer surface at rupees 3 per square metre is Rs.5700
