Length.breadth and height of a room are 8 m, 6 m and 4 m respectively. Find the length of diagonal of the room and the area of the four walls of the room.

So to find the area of walls of a room we will calculate it by this formula   Area of rectangle=lxb

                             =2(8x4)+2(6x4)

                              =64+48  Area of the four walls =112 m^2

Diagonal (c)^2= a^2 + b^2 (Pythagoras theorem)

                      = (8)^2 + (6)^2

                      = 64 + 36

             (c)^2 = 100

                   c = square root  of 100

                   c = 10 m

Therefore the diagonal is of 10 m .
