FINAL ANSWER:

capacity of the container is 37.5 m^{3}

volume of iron used is 1.477999 m^{3}

GIVEN:

Length = l2 = 1.5m

breadth = b2 = 1m

height = h2 = 25m

thickness of sheet = 0.03 m

to find volume of container subtract 0.03 m from each

so after adding we get

Length = l1 = 1.53 m

breadth =b1 = 1.03 m

height =c1 = 25.03 m

TO FIND:

  • the  capacity of the container
  • volume of iron used.

FORMULA USED:

V=L×b×h

SOLUTION:

∴ volume of capacity of container =

V2=l2×b2×b3

V2=1.5×1×25

V2=37.5 m^{3}

and,

V1=l1×b1×c1

V1=1.53×1.03×25.03

V1=39.444777 m^{3}

∴ volume of iron used in making of container = V1 - V2

                                                                            = 39.444777 - 37.5

                                                                            = 1.477999 m^{3}
