Given: length of chord=24cm

            distance of a chord from center=5cm

To find: radius of circle

Step by step explanation: Since we know that perpendicular drawn from the            center of a circle bisects the chord.

                   Therefore, AC=12cm

        In right triangle OBC , using pythagoras theorem

           OA^2 = OC^2+AC^2

                      =5^2+12^2

                       =25+144

               OA=√169

                      =13cm

Answer: Radius of given circle is 13cm.
