given. l=b+4
and perimeter = 2(l+b)
therefore
84=2(b+4+b)
84/2=2b+4
42=2(b+2)
21=b+2
21-2=b
19=b

hey dear
enjoy your answer ^.^^.^

teachernikkypcdfmf: where is breadth
jaya7355: b =19
teachernikkypcdfmf: so length??
jaya7355: 23
teachernikkypcdfmf: calculate to nhi kiya
jaya7355: toh she can calculate
teachernikkypcdfmf: ok
teachernikkypcdfmf: but if she is not able to calculate, then.

let the length be x and breadth be length exceeds the breadth by 4m.
so, x-y=4 — 1 equation
perimeter is 84m.
2(x+y) = 84
x+y = 42. — equation 2
from equation 1
x= 4+y
putting the value of y in 2 equation
4+y + y= 42
2y= 38
y= 19
now put the value of y in 1 equation
x-y=4
x- 19= 4
x = 4+19= 23
and its done!!
