Explanation:

let the common multiple be 'g'

length of rectangle=(5+g)

breadth of rectangle=g

perimeter of rectangle =90 units

perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

=2[(5+g)+g]

=2 (6g)

=12g

90=12g

90/12=g

7.5=g

breadth of rectangle=g

=7.5 units

length of rectangle =(5+g)

=(5+7.5)

=12.5 units

Answer:

Let the breadth be x

Length=x+5

Perimeter=90 ( given)

Also,

Perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)

90=2×( x+5+ x)

90=2×2x+5

90=20x

90/20=x

4.5= x

Breadth=4.5

Length= 4.5+5

= 9.5
