length of a rectangle is 10 cm and width 8 cm if its length and width are double what would be the area of the new rectangle How many times the area of the original is the area of the new rectangle ?

Breadth of a rectangle=8 cm

Area of a rectangle=L×B=10×8=80 cm^2

Now,New length of rectangle=2×10=20 cm

New breadth of rectangle = 2×8=16 cm

New Area of rectangle = L×B=20×16=320 cm^2

Difference between both the areas=320-80=240 cm^2

The area of new rectangle is 4 times the area of original rectangle.
