Let the breadth of rectangle be x

and the length of rectangle be y

Now according to the question,

y-16=2x

Therefore, y=2x-16..........1

And,

2(x+y)=100

2x+2y=100...............2

substituting the value of 1 in 2

2x+2(2x-16)=100

2x+4x+-32=100

6x+=100+32

6x=132

x=132/6

x=22cm

From 1,

y=2x-16

y=2×22-16

y=44-16

y=28cm

Hence the values of x and y are 22 cm and 28 cm respectively.
