Given:-

Length of the rectangle is 16cm less than twice its breadth.

Perimeter of the rectangle=100cm

To find:-

Length and breadth of the rectangle.

Solution:-

Let the breadth of the rectangle be x

Thus,length=2x-16

Perimeter of a rectangle=2(l+b)

=>2(2x-16+x)=100

=>2(3x-16)=100

=>6x-32=100

=>6x=100+32

=>6x=132

=>x=132/6

=>x=22

Thus,breadth of the rectangle is 22cm.

And,length=2(22)-16=28cm.
