Let the breadth of rectangle = X cm
Then length of rectangle = 2X - 16
Perimeter of rectangle = 100 cm
Perimeter of rectangle = 2 (L + B)
2 (X + 2X - 16) = 100
2X + 4X - 32 = 100
6X = 100 + 32
6X = 132
X = 132 / 6
X = 22

Therefore, the breadth of rectangle = 22 cm
Length of rectangle = (2x 22) - 16
= 44 - 16
= 28 cm

Ritisha727: This answer is wrong it should be 28
Ritisha727: not 22
kishanswaroopya: question is to find both L & B. just go through last para
Ritisha727: ohh
