Let b be breadth.
Let l be length.

L = 2+b
Perimeter of Rectangle = l*b [length*breadth]
perimeter = 24
therefore,

l*b =24
(2+b)*(b) = 24

2b + b² = 24
b² + 2b - 24 = 0
b² + 6b-4b - 24 = 0
b(b+6) -4 (b+6) =0
(b-4)(b+6) = 0

Since breadth cannot be negative, b = 4cm

l =2+b
l = 2+4
l= 6cm
