given,

Length= 3cm more than breadth

perimeter of rectangle= 62cm

Let length be b+3 and breadth be b

we know,

Perimeter of rectangle= 2(length+breadth)

62cm= 2(b+3+b)

62cm=2(2b+3)

62cm= 4b+6

62cm-6=4b

56 cm=4b

b= 56/4

b=14cm

then length would be 17 cm, breadth would be 14cm

Area of rectangle= length*breadth

area of rectangle= 17cm* 14cm

=238cm square

therefore, the area of the rectangle is 238cm square
