Length of a rectangle is 30m and breadth is 20m.Find its increase in its area if length increased by 10m and breath is doubled.

Length=30m
breadth=20m
Area of the rectangle =l×b
=600m sq. -let it be i.
NOW,
A/Q,After increasing the length and breadth of the rectangle,we get-
Length=30+10
=40 m
Breadth=2×20
=40m
now, Area=side sq.
=40×40
=1600m sq. - let it be ii
Again,
The required increase in area
= ii - i
=1600-600
=1000 m sq.
