Let the breadth of the rectangle be x m.

Therefore, its length = (4+3x) m

Therefore, the perimeter of the rectangle

=2[x+(4+3x)] m

=2[x+4+3x] m

=2[4x+4] m

=8x+8 m

Answer: The perimeter of the rectangle is 8x+8 metres.
