we have

length = X+5

perimeter of rectangle= 50 cm

we know


perimeter of rectangle = 2( l + b )

50 = 2 ( x + 5 + x )

50= 2(2x+5)

50 = 4x + 10

50-10 = 4x

40 = 4x

x= 40/4

x= 10



hence width = 10
and length = 10+5

= 15 cm.
