Let breadth of rectangle =xcm
Therefore,length=x+5cm
Perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)
50=2(x+x+5)
50=2(2x+5)
50=4x+10
50-10=4x
40=4x
x=40/4=10cm
Breadth=10cm and length=10+5=15cm

let X be the width of the rectangle
according to the question
we have
length = X+5
perimeter of rectangle= 50 cm
we know
perimeter of rectangle = 2( l + b )
50 = 2 ( x + 5 + x )
50= 2(2x+5)
50 = 4x + 10
50-10 = 4x
40 = 4x
x= 40/4
x= 10
hence width = 10
and length = 10+5
= 15 cm.
