Length of a rectangle is 8 m less than twice its breadth. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 56 m. Find its length and breadth.

(A) Length = 16m and breadth = 12m
(B) Length = 13m and breadth = 15m
(C) Length = 14m and breadth = 17m
(D) Length = 18m and breadth = 21m​

Let breadth = x

length = 2x - 8

P = 2(l + b)

56 = 2(x + 2x - 8)

56 = 2(3x - 8)

56 = 6x - 16

56 + 16 = 6x

72 = 6x

72/6 = x

12m = x

Breadth= 12m

Length = 24 - 8 = 16m
