Hey dear!

Here is yr answer.....

let the breadth = x

length = 2x+4

perimeter = 26cm

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

2(l+b) = 26

x+2x+4 = 26/2

3x+4 = 13

3x = 13-4

3x = 9

x = 9/3

x = 3

Breadth = 3cm

= 2x+4

= 2(3)+4

= 6+4

= 10

Length = 10cm

Hope it hlpz....

\large\red{\texttt{Length = 10 cm}}

\large\red{\texttt{Breadth = 3 cm}}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

  • Length of a rectangle is greater than it's breadth by 4.
  • Perimeter of rectangle is 26 cm.

To Find:

  • What is the meaure of length & breadth ?

Solution: Let the measure of breadth be x cm. Therefore,

➼ Length of rectangle = 4 more than twice x

➼ Length = (2x + 4) cm

As we know that

Perimeter of Rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)

A/q

  • Perimeter = 26 cm

\large\implies\purple{\texttt {26 = 2(Length + Breadth)}}

\large\implies\purple{\texttt {26 = 2(2x + 4 + x)}}

\large\implies\purple{\texttt {26 = 2(3x + 4)}}

\large\implies\purple{\texttt {26 = 6x + 8}}

\large\implies\purple{\texttt {26 – 8 = 6x}}

\large\implies\purple{\texttt {18 = 6x}}

\large\implies\purple{\texttt {18/6 = x}}

\large\implies\purple{\texttt {3 = x}}

Hence,

➛ Breadth of rectangle is x = 3 cm

➛ Length of rectangle = 2(3)+4 = 10 cm
