LET THE SIDES OF THE SQUARE=a
i.e. AREA OF THE SQUARE=a^2
ALSO SIDES OF THE RECTANGLE=2a AND a+6
i.e. AREA OF THE RECTANGLE=2a(a+6)=2a^2+12a
ALSO 2a^2+12a=3a^2
i.e. a^2-12a=0
i.e. a(a-12)=0
i.e. EITHER a=0 OR a=12
i.e. a=12
i.e. SIDES OF SQUARE=12
AND SIDES OF RECTANGLE=2a AND a+6=24, 18
i.e. AREA OF THE SQUARE=a^2
ALSO SIDES OF THE RECTANGLE=2a AND a+6
i.e. AREA OF THE RECTANGLE=2a(a+6)=2a^2+12a
ALSO 2a^2+12a=3a^2
i.e. a^2-12a=0
i.e. a(a-12)=0
i.e. EITHER a=0 OR a=12
i.e. a=12
i.e. SIDES OF SQUARE=12
AND SIDES OF RECTANGLE=2a AND a+6=24, 18
