Length = (x+y)

Breadth = (x-y)

A.T.Q

2(L+B) = 2(x+y+x-y)

= 2 × 2x

= 4x

Given,

The length of a rectangle = (x+y)

and the breadth of the rectangle = (x-y)

To find out,

The perimeter of the rectangle.

Solution:

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

Where,

l = length of rectangle

b = breadth of rectangle

Perimeter \:  of \:  rectangle \:  = 2 \times (x + y)+(x - y)

Perimeter of rectangle = 2x+2y+2x-2y

Perimeter of rectangle = 4x

Therefore the perimeter of rectangle is 4x.

Additional information:

Formulae:

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length +breadth)
