Let the breadtg of blackboard be x
=> lenght of black borad =x+8
Now
New, lenght of blackboard be =x+8+7
=x+15
Breadth of blackboard = x-4
Given the area is equal. In both case
=> x+8*x = (x+15)*(x-4)
x^2 +8x= x^2-4x+15x-60
60= 11x+x^2-8x-x^2
60=3x
x=60/3
x=20
Lenght of blackboard =x+8
=20+8
=28
=> lenght of black borad =x+8
Now
New, lenght of blackboard be =x+8+7
=x+15
Breadth of blackboard = x-4
