Correct Question :

Length of a rectangular field is 250 metres and width is 150 metres. Ramesh runs around the field. How many times he should run around the field to cover a distance of 4 kilometers.

AnswEr :

  • Length = 250 m
  • Breadth = 150 m

Perimeter of the Rectangular Field :

⇒ Perimeter = 2 × ( Length + Breadth )

⇒ Perimeter = 2 × ( 250 m + 150 m )

⇒ Perimeter = 2 × 400 m

Perimeter = 800 m

Number of Rounds of Field :

⇒ Distance = Perimeter × No. of Rounds

⇒ 4 km = 800 m × No. of Rounds

  • 1 Km = 1000 m

⇒ (4 × 1000) m = 800 m × No. of Rounds

⇒ 4000 m = 800 m × No. of Rounds

  • Dividing Both term by 800 m

No. of Rounds = 5

Hence, Ram will take 5 rounds to complete 4 kilometers of rectangular field.

Length of the rectangular field=250 metre.

Breadth of the rectangular field=150 meter.

Perimeter of the rectangular field= 2×(l+b)

=2×(250+150)

=2×400

=800 metre

4 km = 4000 m

So, we have to divide it = (4000÷800) rounds

=5 rounds

:- So, he will complete 4 km in 5 rounds.
