Length of a rectangular field is twice its breadth.if the perimeter of the field is 120 then find the dimensions of the field.

2(lenght+breadth)

2*(120+x)

140=x

Let x be the breadth

And 2x be the length.

Perimeter of a rectangle= 120

x+2x = 120

3x=120

x=120/3

x=40cm.

Put the value of x

Then, breadth is. 40cm

Length= 2*40=80cm

The area of a rectangle = L * B

= 40cm *80cm

= 3200cm^2.
