Area of original rectangular garden = 14*7=98cm^2.
After path is added around rectangular garden
New length= 14+2*3= 14+6 = 20cm.
New breadth= 7+2*3 = 7+6= 13cm.
Now, area of rectangular with path = 20*13= 260cm^2
So, area of path= area of rectangular with path- area of rectangular without path= (260-98)cm^2 = 162cm^2 answer.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation

Area of the rectangle = 14*7=98sq m

Due to path, there is form a another rectangle around the previous one.

Area of that one is (14+6)*(7+6)=260sq m

Now area of path is

= 260-98

=162 sq m
