length=2×1/2×x
=x
breadth=x
perimeter=2(x+x)=70
2×2x=70
4x=70
x=70/4=
=17.5

we know that ,
perimeter P = sum of the all sides
=) P = 2. length + 2. width ( the room has 2 length and 2 wdth )
=) P = 2L + 2W
=)70 = 2L + 2w ( given ) ................. (1)

again given , length is two half of width i.e.,
L = ( 2 + 1/2 )W
now from (1) .....
70= 2. ( 2+ 1/2 ) W+ 2W

=) 70 = 2 ( 5/2 ) W + 2W
=) 70 = ( 10/2 + 2 ) W
=) 70 = (14/ 2 ) W
=) 70 × 2 = 14 W
=) 140 = 14 W
=) W = 10 m

now from , L = (2 + 1/2 ) W
=) L = 5/2 . 10 m
=) L = 25 m
therefore , the length of the room is = 25 m
width of the room is = 10 m
