We know that

• Volume of cube = side³

• Volume of cube = (2y - 3)³

Apply identity = (a - b)³ = a³ - 3a²b + 3ab² - b³

• Volume of cube = (2y)³ - 3(2y)²(3) + 3(2y)(3)² - (3)³
• Volume of cube = 8y³ - 3(4y²)3 + 6y(9) - (27)
• Volume of cube = 8y³ - 36y² + 54y - 27

Therefore, Volume of cube is 8y³ - 36y² + 54y - 27 cm³
