Let external point be B, & OA be radius of circle.

Given:-

OB=13cm

Ab=12cm

In right triangle, AOB by Phythagoras Theorem.

  • OA \:  =  \sqrt{AB²-OB²}
  •  =  >  \sqrt{ {13}^{2} -  {12}^{2}   }
  •  =  >  \sqrt{169 - 144}
  •  =  >  \sqrt{25}
  • 5units

Hence,

Diameter = 2×5

= 10cm .
