Area of a triangle = bh/2

B = 2h

 \tt \purple{225 =  \frac{(2 {h)}^{2} }{2}}

  \tt \red{{h}^{2} = 225}

Height of the triangle = 15 km

Given :-

Length of base of a triangle is twice of its height. If area of triangle is 256 unit²

To Find :-

Length of base

Solution :-

Let the height be x

Length of base = 2x

Now

Area of triangle = 1/2 × Base × Height

256 = 1/2 × 2x × x

256 × 2 = 2x × x

512 = 2x²

512/2 = x²

256 = x²

√256 = x

16 = x

Now

Length of base = 2x = 2(16) = 32 cm
