Given: Isosceles traingle

Equal side (a) = 4 cm

side b = 2 cm

To find: area

S = a + b + c

2

S = a + a + b (Isosceles traingle)

2

S = 4 + 4 + 2

2

S = 5 cm

Area of traingle=

 \sqrt{s (s - a)(s - b)(s - c)}

=

 \sqrt{5(5 - 4)(5 - 4)(5 - 2)}

=

 \sqrt{5 \times 1 \times 1 \times 3}

=

 \sqrt{15}   {cm}^{2}

So, Area of traingle is 15 cm²
