AnswEr :-

  • Breadth of the rectangle is 105cm.
  • Length of the rectangle is 119cm.

Given :-

  • Length of rectangle is 14cm more than its Breadth. Perimeter of the rectangle is 448cm.

To Find :-

  • Dimensions of the rectangle.

SoluTion :-

Let

  • Breadth of the rectangle be x
  • Length of the rectangle be x + 14

Perimeter of the rectangle is 448cm.

We know that the formula for finding the perimeter of the rectangle is

2 (l + b)

Where,

  • l = length
  • b = breadth

According to question :-

2 (x + x + 14) = 448

→ 2 (2x + 14) = 448

→ 2x + 14 = 448/2

→ 2x + 14 = 224

→ 2x = 224 - 14

→ 2x = 210

→ x = 210/2

→ x = 105

  • Breadth of the rectangle, x = 105cm
  • Length of the rectangle, 14 + x = 14 + 105= 119cm

Hence, the dimensions of the rectangle are 105cm and 119cm respectively.
