\;\;\underline{\textbf{\textsf{ Given:-}}}

• Length of Rectangle is three times of it's breadth.

• Perimeter of Rectangle is = 24 cm.

\;\;\underline{\textbf{\textsf{ To Find :-}}}

• Dimensions of the rectangle perimeter

\;\;\underline{\textbf{\textsf{ Solution :-}}}

Let the Breadth of Rectangle be x cm

Given that,

Length of Rectangle is three times of it's breadth.

Then,

• Length of Rectangle will be = 3x cm

We know that,

\star\;{\boxed{\sf{\purple{Perimeter_{\;(Rectangle)} = 2(l + b)}}}}\\ \\

\underline{\:\textsf{ Now, put the given values   :}}

\dashrightarrow  \sf 2(3x + x) = 24\\ \\

\dashrightarrow \sf 2(4x) = 24\\ \\

\dashrightarrow \sf 8x = 24\\ \\

\dashrightarrow \sf x = \cancel{ \dfrac{24}{8}}\\ \\

\dashrightarrow {\boxed{\frak{\purple{x = 3}}}}\;\\ \\

\;\;\underline{\textbf{\textsf{ Hence-}}}

\\ \\ • Length of Rectangle will be

= 3 × x

= 9 cm

\\ \\ • Breadth of Rectangle = 3 cm

Answer:

Let length of rectangle=lcm

breadth of rectangle= bcm

Given length is 3 times its breadth

i.e. l= 3×b

Perimeter of the rectangle= 120 cm

i.e.2×( l+ b)=120

2×(3×b+ b)=120

2×(4×b)=120

8×b=120

b= 15 cm
