Length of rectangular plot is 40 m and breadth is 30 m. What is the cost of wire fencing surround the plot at the rate of Rs.20 per 1 meter?

Dimensions of the rectangular plot :

Length ( l ) = 40 m

Breadth ( b ) = 30 m

i ) Length of the wire required = perimeter

of the plot

= 2( l + b )

= 2( 40 + 30 )

= 2 × 70

= 140 m

ii ) Cost of the wire 1m fencing = Rs 20

Cost of fencing 140 m = 20 × 140

= Rs 2800

GIVEN :

Length of a rectangular plot (l) = 40 m

Breadth of a rectangular plot (b ) = 30 m

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 (Length + Breadth)

Perimeter of the rectangular plot = 2(40 + 30)

= 2 × 70 = 140 m

Perimeter of the rectangular plot = 140 m

Cost of the wire fencing for 1 m = ₹ 20

Cost of wire fencing of the plot of 140 m = ₹ (20 × 140) = ₹ 2800

Hence, the Cost of wire fencing of the plot is ₹2800.
