Length ( l ) = 40 m
Breadth ( b ) = 30 m
i ) Length of the wire required = perimeter
of the plot
= 2( l + b )
= 2( 40 + 30 )
= 2 × 70
= 140 m
ii ) Cost of the wire 1m fencing = Rs 20
Cost of fencing 140 m = 20 × 140
= Rs 2800
