let breadth be X
and length therefore be 3x-4
2(3x-4+x)=32
8x-8=32
8x=40
x=5

hence showed

Hello dear!!!
Here's your answer...

Length of the rectangle is 4 m less than 3 times its breadth..

Let,
Breadth be x
Length be 3x-4
Perimeter is 32
The formula is 2(l+b)
32= 2(3x-4+x)
32/2=4x-4
16=4x-4
16+4=4x
20=4x
x=20/4
x=5
Breadth is 5m
Hence proved...

Hope this helps you
