To find:-

Between which two numbers can the length of the third side fall?Explain?

Solution:-

Length of Two sides of a triangle =7 cm and 6 cm

We know that

Sum of two sides of a triangle is greater than the third side

=>7+6 > Third side

=>13 cm > third side ------(1)

and

Difference between the two sides is less than the third side

=>7-6 < Third side

=> 1 cm < Third side-----(2)

From (1)&(2)

1 cm < third side < 13 cm

Answer:-

Third side of the given triangle lies between 1 cm and 13 cm

Used formulae:-

Inequalities of triangle:-
