Breadth , b = 50 ± 1 m

Solution :

Area = length x breadth

= 100 x 50

A = 5000 m^2

∆A = A ( ∆L/L + ∆B/B )

= 5000 ( 2 / 100 + 1 / 50 )

= 5000 ( 1 / 50 + 1 / 50 )

= 5000 ( 1 + 1 / 50 )

= 5000 x 2 / 50

= 100 x 2

= 200 m^2

Area with limit error is 200 m^2 .
