Lengths of adjecent side of a rectangle are for 6cm and 8 cm respectively. Find the
lengts of remaining sides​

Area of rectangle = (8×6)=48 cm²

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(8+6) = 28 cm

Let the side of square be a

Therefore, perimeter = 4a

Perimeter of square = Perimeter of rectangle

⇒ 4a=28

⇒a=7 cm

Therefore, area of square = 7²

= 49 cm²

Therefore, difference between area of square and area of rectangle=(49-48)=1² cm
