here is ur answer friend...
area of equilateral triangle=√3a²/4

=>√3(8)²/4=64√3/4
=>16√3cm²

area of triangle=1/2×b×h
=>1/2×8×h=4h

= >4h=16√3
=>h=4√3cm

therefore height is 4√3 cm..
hope its helpful...... friend...!!!

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

In an equilateral triangle, altitude divides side equally.

Let ABC be a Δ, AD = Altitude

In right angle triangle ABD, AB² = AD² + BD²  [Pythagoras theorem]

We know that AB = 8 cm , BD = 8/2 = 4 cm

∴ AD² = 8² - 4² = 64 -16

AD = √48 cm

∴ Length of Altitude = 4√3 cm
