5.25 lb strawberries

Answer:

3.5 lb for strawberries at rate of $4.20 per pound

means he paid = 3.5× 4.20 = $14.70 for them

now, at same amount of money he can buy

$14.70/$2.80 = 5.25

Leo can buy 5.25 lb strawberries at rate of $2.80 per pound at same amount of money

Given - Weight of bought strawberries = 3.5 lb

Cost of bought strawberries = $4.20

New cost of strawberries = $2.80 per pound

Find - How many pounds could Leo buy with the same amount of money?

Solution - Total amount spent on strawberries = 3.5*4.20

Total amount spent = $14.7

New cost of strawberries = $2.80

$2.80 can buy = 1 pound of strawberries

$14.7 can buy = (1/2.8)*14.7

$14.7 can buy 5.25 pound of strawberries.

Hence, for the same amount of money Leo can buy 5.25 pound of strawberries.
