Let t hours is required for the reptile food to reach 72.5°F

Here it is given that Leonardo keeps the food in the freezer at –4°F

Now he sets the food on his reptile’s hot rock, the temperature rises 8.5 degrees each hour.

So after t hours the temperature will be

= ( - 4 + 8.5t )°F

Now Leonardo read that his reptile food should be given at a temperature of 72.5°F.

So by the given condition
