Leopards, and jaguars belong in cat family, they are “big cats.”and they have  more flexible climbing ability and can climb  thinner branches due to the lighter load.

Sometimes they just go up into the canopy to take advantage of a cooling breeze.  Sometimes leopards rest in the branches of trees with dense canopies in order to escape the heat of the day and increase their sense of safety

But the lions cann't  climb trees, as because they are large, adult males, they are just too big and heavy.

ADAPTATION

Explanation:

  • Adaptation is an evolutionary process by which organisms adjust to new environments.
  • Leopard has Arboreal locomotion, It is the form of locomotion of animals in trees.
  • In an environment where trees are present, animals undergo physical adaptation to move in them
  • Leopard can easily climb up the trees due to licking wrist or ankle bone. They live in the rain forest, don't live in groups, and have spots
  • Lion's ankle slides sideways under their bodyweight. They live on the savannah, live in a group, and have no pattern on the coat.
